Enough Is Enough

Let me first start off by saying that I do not agree with torturing, beating, harming, etc., of ANY living creature.

NEWS FLASH: Michael Vick falls under that clause being that he is HUMAN and all. So, why is PETA going for the jugular?

After 18 months of working with the Vick team, PETA has pulled out of a partnership that would have had the fallen NFL star speaking in an anti-dogfighting PSA because they think he's loco. The PSA was scheduled to be release in hopes of gaining his job back. But PETA got gully last week and requested that the NFL require Michael Vick to take a psychological test and a MRI brain scan to determine if he had any signs of clinical psychopathy or anti-social personality disorders. PETA released this statement on their site:

"The only way to know for sure if Vick can change his ways is for him to submit himself for a brain scan and psychological test. Based on a number of factors—such as the fact that the right side of the hippocampus is larger than the left in 94 percent of captured psychopaths—these tests can help determine if Vick can ever truly understand that dog fighting is a sick, cruel business. Or, they could suggest that he’s doomed to repeat mean, violent behavior in the future—whether with dogs or other human beings."

The good folks (ha!) at PETA have also released the results of Vick's "Animal Empathy Test", which he scored a 73.5% on. The only thing that PETA's test proved to me was that our education system bites the big one. We have failed countless generations of kids.
